The cooler months can be tough on your skin. Cold temps and low humidity levels result in dry air that draws moisturiser away from the skin. There are a few things you can do to help make your skin enjoy the winter months, like:
- Avoid long, hot showers - even though they feel amazing in winter, a hot bath or shower can strip your skin of important oils. If you can, use warm or lukewarm water instead, including when you wash your face and hands.
- Keep on moisturising – morning and night - if you clean your face in the shower then make sure you put your moisturiser when you get out vs. leaving for it
- Don’t forget the sunscreen – crazy as it may sound when the sun is shining in winter you need to still protect your skin.
- Keep hydrated – it can be super hard to drink enough water in the cooler months, but your skin will love you for it.
